thanks. and right now my problem is i dont have a battery post to mount to... should i take the stock charge wire off the alt and battery and replace it with the 1/0 and use ring terminals? i need help but idk what ill need. i need alt to bat, bat to ground, bat to amp, amp to ground. thanks for any info

You need ring terminals and heat shrink tubing. When I replaced the power/ground under my hood I picked up 5 packages of Monster ring terminals with included heat shrink and ended up with a couple extra. They worked great and my 4awg wouldn't budge even if you tugged on it. If you have any 4awg cable laying around, that's my recommendation.

If you prefer to use your 1/0 under the hood, pick up some heavy duty ring terminals from the local hardware store, and grab some heat shrink. The Xscorpion stuff is legit ;]
