Kidder
**Noob to the forum please bare with me** So I'm looking to redo my system and need some suggestions mainly on a good sub. This will be my first real build/"big" build. I've done plenty of little subs in a crappy prefab box with whatever wires I have lying around but it's time to step it up a bit. Current setup: 10" Power Acoustik Fubar dual 4ohm (unsure of what ohm load it is currently running at) in slot ported box (unsure of how many cubes(and has a ton of air leaks)) Hifonics Zeus Zxi 1010 500x2 5AWG Scosche power wire, ground wire and scosche RCA's JVC Kds-48 HU 1 pair Power Acoustik NB-4 tweeters Stock components (Metered by a friend with his little handheld decibal meter and read 134.6 on the dash with windows down. I find it hard to believe this is accurate but for the small space it is I'm not sure what to believe. I'm still skeptical.) What I want: New sub - I want at a least a 12" I plan to build my own box (First timer over here..) New amp - Just need something to drive a single sub Planning on Knu Konceptz 1/0 for power, ground and big 3 New components Here's the catch: I drive a 1994 regular cab Silverado... I have removed the center console/seat and that is where my sub is currently and my amp is hanging on the back wall under the window. I most likely won't buy everything at one time I'll probably piece it together over a couple months time as I am doing much more than audio upgrades. Planning at least 200 amp alternator. Would another battery be suggested too? I'm just looking to be pointed in the right direction on what I should look into, not looking for a VS. thread here simply some input on what you have found to work well. So as the title says..Suggestions anyone?

Kidder
As far as music I listen to quite a variety from rap and hip-hop to country to screamo and anywhere in between. Mainly looking for rap or anything with a lot of bass. As far as budget I have a little over $700 for sub, amp, wiring, box building materials and battery (if needed) but would prefer to stay under that. CleanSierra
That DB score is probably nowhere close to actual, even with windows open. Quote Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Kidder
I had that feeling that's why I don't go around talking about it. He seemed more excited about it than I was. It's a pretty mean little sub, but not that mean. Hits lows great but cannot hit anything high to save its life.

LZTYBRN
What are your max dimensions? And how big were you planning on going? The H/O alt leads me to believe a couple thousand watts or more.
Kidder
Loud is what i like! As far as dimensions. 30"x15"x20" if I had to go that big but ideally i'd like to keep closer to 28"x15"x18" and the H/O alt is for the system as well as off-road lights (5x) 6.25" lights overhead and 2 rectangle lights mounted on the front bumper. But as I mentioned I will likely buy the pieces over a little time since I am also painting, lifting and hopefully adding a few more ponies. EDIT: I also run a CB radio with Public Address system and my halo's are in the mail..somewhere. A lot of L.E.D lighting and all sorts of gadgets. I need a lot of power to keep it all going. Kidder
Do you think with at least a 200 amp alt I would still need an extra battery? or could i just ditch my little battery under the hood and replace it with something a little bigger like what is linked above? Just wondering how much wire I will need to get the job done.
