  1. March of 2012 Holland, MI. Lurk the boards a few times a week just to learn from those with experience. SMD is a great place with an awesome group of people. Tons of knowledge here.
  2. Their brewery is just around the corner from my house. The company I work for does all their electrical work and at the end of the day we get to sample whatever we want. Some cool cats over there. They cater our Christmas party too.
  3. If I strap my amps and my subs are wired to a 2 ohm load, does each amp see 1 ohm?

  4. Blew the engine up in the jeep. Motor hunting on craigslist.

at least those are an easy swap if you have the tools and a picker.

I'm hoping it will be. I believe I have all the tools or access to them and my friend has a hoist in his garage. Just need to find the time to do it.

  5. Received package today item seems to be as described and in stated condition. Very happy with the transaction and hoping to get it put in by the end of the week to see how it performs!
  6. Picked up an 18" BTL today. Guess the jeep is going to get a bigger build than I anticipated..

  7. I bought a 290amp DC alt for my jeep, he shipped as soon as payment cleared through paypal and kept me posted on what was going on with everything via PM. Have not received the package yet, should be here in a few days. Great guy to buy from, thanks CHINO11550!
  8. gotta sell my truck..well..one of them..

  9. I looked at them briefly, I'd like to put something in the doors for midbass but know virtually nothing about glassing. I keep changing up plans and what I want in there and ballin' on a budget just aint that easy lol. BTW I just looked at that blowthrough setup..amesome! And that 454 under the hood makes it that much better haha.
  10. I'd like to be able to have my sub behind my seat but with the depth of it there is no way I could. I miss having a middle seat/center console. I'll try to get some pictures tonight before dark of what room I have (I already have my passenger seat out) so anybody looking can get a better idea.
  11. I have a work space of about 30"x15"x20" but could go taller if i needed to. This will be my first box and first "big" build. Planning on sound deadener and a larger battery very soon, already did my big 3 in 1/0. New amp came in the mail 2 days ago.
  12. Thank you. Do you think I'll be able to fit all that between my two seats? It is a full size just to clarify, not an s-10.
  13. I picked up an AQ HDC3 15" dual 2 (copper coil) and need to build an enclosure. The tricky part is getting it between the bucket seats in my 1994 regular cab chevy pickup truck. I plan to do a slot port enclosure, but have no idea what frequency I should tune to or how many cubes I should shoot for. I couldn't find the info on audioque's website. I planned to mount the sub facing the dash with the port on the floor and also facing the dash as I had some success with a similar box setup. Variation suggestions in this are also very welcome. If I am leaving anything out please let me know. Thank you in advance for any suggestions. And sorry if I'm posting incorrectly..noob here.
  14. At first i would place the biggest baddes XS or Stinger batt under the hood and do the big 3.http://www.stevemead...big-3-tutorial/. If you still have voltagetroubles, the H/O alt. But normaly, sorry im from Germany we have other car´s, the electrical system of your car must be strong enough. Alright, thank you! Any and all help is much appreciated. And do a buildlog. I hope you're ready for another noob question.. how?

  16. Do you think with at least a 200 amp alt I would still need an extra battery? or could i just ditch my little battery under the hood and replace it with something a little bigger like what is linked above? Just wondering how much wire I will need to get the job done.
  17. Loud is what i like! As far as dimensions. 30"x15"x20" if I had to go that big but ideally i'd like to keep closer to 28"x15"x18" and the H/O alt is for the system as well as off-road lights (5x) 6.25" lights overhead and 2 rectangle lights mounted on the front bumper. But as I mentioned I will likely buy the pieces over a little time since I am also painting, lifting and hopefully adding a few more ponies. EDIT: I also run a CB radio with Public Address system and my halo's are in the mail..somewhere. A lot of L.E.D lighting and all sorts of gadgets. I need a lot of power to keep it all going.
  18. I had that feeling that's why I don't go around talking about it. He seemed more excited about it than I was. It's a pretty mean little sub, but not that mean. Hits lows great but cannot hit anything high to save its life.
