87chevyboi Posted June 11, 2012 Author Report Posted June 11, 2012 so i got to thinking, im soon to be getting the ipod 4s and i want to be able to put it somewhere in my console to hold it. so i ripped an ipod player apart that was broke and i took the piece off that holds the phone and has the cord under it for it to be able to play. So i used a similiar product to great stuff and it put it on the box. Looks ok if i had to say so myself i had to dodge the cup holders that are there under the fiberglass and dodge the slot for the equalizer lol pretty tricky if i say so off to a little business startup meeting then back to do more work hope yall like and i hope more people are tuning in cuz there is some major things coming for this truck My build aka Snow White whats wrong with fat chicks? they are like mopeds, as long as your friends dont see you riding it, they are a blast! hahah I am dumb as a stump. 87chevyboi Posted June 16, 2012 Author Report Posted June 16, 2012 so i went by lowes today to pick up a lil bit of plywood and some great stuff to seal up the top of my truck. But i dont know if any of yall have ever been to sanford but every freakin place we have in town. The people that work there dont know shit about the store they work for. Asking them questions is like asking a 90 yr old woman if she likes to bass out. They dont know shit, so after about 45 min to an hr of finally teaching a couple people in there where there stuff was while in the process of finding some stuff i finally got out of there. I came home and tried to get my truck roof done so i could put the headliner back in it. I havent redone it yet but i have to drill a couple holes in it so i am going to wait to see where the holes need to be and fuck up the stock fabric rather than the vinyl im putting on it. 87chevyboi Posted June 16, 2012 Author Report Posted June 16, 2012 FIrst board cut, now let me remind you i have about 3 layers of second skin spectrum on the roof and great stuff filling all the holes up there too. So i hope this helps to eliminate some of the rattling i am going to have. I also did this to mount my flip downs on and maybe put my amps on the roof i dont know bout that yet still contemplating it. First one almost done and the great stuff hanging down looks like i used a ton of that shit lol First board in an finished now on to the back 2 lol cutting and making the tabs that will hold the board up there. I made about 24 1 1/8 long pieces of metal and drilled 2 holes in the so i can screw it to the board and pop rivet it to the metal. was a pain in the ass lol all done all three pieces in there and looking good. Im thinking of spraying some great stuff behind them so it will cover the little gap they have but i dont know if it will push the roof out with all the pressure it puts out. thats another pic and thats all i got done today, i painted a couple of the screens i am putting in the car tho. I am going for a tan/beige with a white. Hopefully the 2 colors interact well in the interior if not ill just repaint them and make them look like my factory interior colors. Hope yall enjoy this is alot of work being done lol might not look like it but damnnnnnn its alot of shit to do. Also not in the pics today i ran about 10 sets of rca's for the tv's and i still got a couple more. I got the rg-59 in so i am most deff gonna make my rca wires for my amps and shit soon. and i must say it is pretty flexible stuff and i like it. 87chevyboi Posted June 20, 2012 Author Report Posted June 20, 2012 i got a hella deal on some fiberglass cloth so i had to buy it. 8 rolls 150 ft long only 50 dollars, damn its like christmas in the summer time lol. I Got a little bit done today, i sprayed foam between the wood and the roof so it would kinda help on the flexing(hopefully) lol But its not a big update but heres a pic of all the fiberglass cloth.... dont mind the date i took the batts out the camera and they reseted the date i didnt feel like changing it lol My build aka Snow White whats wrong with fat chicks? they are like mopeds, as long as your friends dont see you riding it, they are a blast! hahah I am dumb as a stump. I think it will turn out pretty good but heres what ive been up to made a piece of the top center console so that i could mount my rear view mirror tv its pretty big and beasty lol.
