basshead8569
So I hear a lot about the difference between the wiring kits that are a aluminium color and then the copper wire. Is there a difference? The way school teaches the copper 0awg equals the aluminium 8awg.. Is this true? Whats everyones opinion on this? b-dubs89
the 3 power cables i have run into are %100 copper , copper clad in tin , and copper clad aluminum . based on what i have learned here the 100% copper has best current capacity , my second choice would be the tinned copper , and the copper clad aluminum has about half the current rating of pure copper cable (same gauge) would be my last choice . knukoncepts has a chart with all there cables amp rating . but no aluminum wire sucks compared to copper , more resistance meaning less current for the size
