siucsaluki11
according to maxxsonics tech support, short inside of amp, can this be caused by my lack of electrical? Should i go with a bigger/second battery, or should i go with a bigger alt? (assuming money isn't an issue, but alt and bat is out of question) Quote woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port... Shankkilla420
Open up the case and see what's burnt, if anything is burnt that is. That's what I'd do to be honest. Edit: my bad I just reread where you said you don't want to void the warranty. Edited May 25, 2012 by Ghetto_Bumpin
RooTxBeeR
If your running stock eletrical I bet you where feeding it low voltage running that amp. Before I did my big 3 I would easily drop to low 12's, never even tried to go below that. Ever since I did the big 3, still on stock alt and battery. I did a test yesterday while only running an MB Quart 4.60 with 2 channels on the subs. Only time I would get "low" which would only go under 13.5, was when low bass would hit. I couldn't even get it to go under 13V no matter how hard I tried. As far as what to upgrade next whether alt or battery. I think that all depends on how serious you need an upgrade to your eletrical. If after the big 3 you still get bad drop, do the alt. If not then you should be good with upgraded front battery and a 2nd in the back. siucsaluki11
I'm going to do the big 3 and an alt i think, i just got off the phone with excessive amperage (nobody makes shit for a 2010 lancer...) and his interwebz shit on him so he's about to call me back once he gets it up and running. Im going to do the big 3, its just a bitch working under the hood of that lancer, I'm 6'6 290 and there just isn't much room for me in there, and the alternator is squashed between some other shit...
