mrd6 Posted May 23, 2012 Report Share Posted May 23, 2012 I am doing an install for a friend and I am looking for an amp to do around 1500rms (could run at a higher ohm load than 1 to achieve better efficiency if it is worth it, she has not bought subs yet) It will be run on a stock 110 to 90amp alternator (still not sure which is in there yet) and as large of an xs d series that I can fit under the hood. So I am wondering if you guys know of any amplifiers that will do that power and are exceptionally efficient. I.e. will work well on this electrical with low current draw while still putting out rated. I know box will have a ton to do with efficiency as well but I am just talking about electrical here. I guess I am looking for more real world data/numbers. I'm just bias for skar and sundown I really like both of their products. You pay the extra price for the brand, how clean the signal is, customer service, and the development of great products. Underrating really doesnt mean anything. clamped numbers show results, and usually companies that real world clamp their amps underrate their numbers bc they know what their amps put out.
