Joe X
Can you do me one more design? Same sub 1.5 cu ft ported tuned to 28hz I modified the design above to 1.5 cubes at 33Hz, I modeled the sub and 28Hz will reduce the output a lot. I would even tune higher. urbana4
What would you tune it at then?
Joe X
If you want to reach low (for rap for example) 33Hz is fine. If you want to get louder 35Hz
urbana4
I'll try 33, if I don't like I'll build another box...what program you using to design these?
Joe X
You can use the Torres calculator to verify the results if you want to. Port centerline length is 30 inches.
urbana4
Would you mind throwing out there the specs in case I do NOT like the 1.5 cubes of a box with the recommended 1.25? Thatd be great.
Joe X
So you also want a box specs 1.25 cubes at 33Hz?
urbana4
Well you think 33HZ is too low at that size? This is the first box I'll be building and just want it to be punchy but also hit lows on some hip hop songs that I also listen too, so I guess I'm just more concerned about damnaging my sub with the bigger box size or it being too boomy. All I know is right now it sounds like SHIT in the sealed box I have as its 16x16x16 which is way bigger than the recommended .75-1.0 sealed. So yeah I'd like dimensions for a 1.25cu box at maybe 35-38HZ unless you think 33HZ is ok.
