No need to waste money and start from scratch if you have a vehicle that runs. You're talking about not only buying another vehicle and fixing it up but also dealing with unforseen problems on a truck that old. I would just keep the blazer and spend the money on getting it in shape. I've avoided so many bad purchases after following that advice from my girlfriend. When you first stumble across something you want, your mind is racing and all you're thinking about is how awesome it would be.
