TigerTony
If the external port is going to be 8x5x31. The wood is .5" mdf. all external. I'm having problems Figuring out the cutsheet for it. If the port has to have a bend at 12" what would my cutsheet be?
bkolfo4
Need more info. Is it 8 high x 5 wide, or 8 wide x 5 high? Is the port bending up/down, or left/right? Is the 12" dimension the inside or outside edge of the port? What are the external dimensions of the box? TigerTony
.5 mdf. Box height: 17 width and deph 18. port will be 8 height 5 in width. 31 length. its totally going to be external of .5 mdf. The port bend should be around 15-16 in. i remeasured my trunk to see what it is. Im getting confused on how the port will be cut from the wood. for each piece. TigerTony
Would these be correct? I kinda just tried to figure them over a drawing. I get so confused with sketchup sometimes Port outer side 1: 8 Height 15 Length Port Outer Side 2: 8 height 15 length Port inner Side 1: 8 height 10 length Port inner side 1: 8 height 10 length I redrew this because it looked so cluttered with the .5" marks for the MDF thickness. but its all .5 mdf Port top + bottom : width - 6 in Length 1 - 15 length 2 - 15 length 3 - 10 length 4 - 10. TigerTony
Bump before i go to sleep. Just need a second check on my measurements before I cut them in the morning so i can get the box finished and everything in morning before it hits 90. lol. bkolfo4
The port in that drawing is only 25" long. Need another 6" to be 31" long (the port length is determined through the center of the port). Port outer side 1: 8 Height 15 Length Port Outer Side 2: 8 height 21 length Port inner Side 1: 8 height 10 length Port inner side 2: 8 height 16 length Edit: Caught an error with the Top and bottom. If it is wrong. On my drawing its 15" for the side. wouldn't it be 15.5. and then 10.5? or would that be fine how it is at the 15 and 10. Port top + bottom : width - 6 in Length 1 - 15 length 2 - 21 length 3 - 10 length 4 - 16. Edited May 28, 2012 by TygaTony
