Mr.BassMan
"HAD" a zx2500.1 amp on 2 15" l7s, while i was playing them the protection light would come on when i went over half on the bass knob, so i turned the radio off and back on and it kept doing it.. so i turn it off again, and then when i turn it back on the woofers made a popping noise while the amp was on, but no music was playing. turned it back off then back on again and boom i hear a big shock sound, and the whole amp goes in smoke and smells like shit. i guess im having bad luck with this crap, what all could make an amp do this? will77530
how high was your gain, where was your ground at
Mr.BassMan
okay so my gain was just a tad over half, so i turned the gain down cause i thought that had something to do with the protection light.. it still came on. i have the ground coming from the amp, to the battery in the back, under the seat to the chassis.
