sbg Posted June 2, 2012 Author Report Share Posted June 2, 2012 i need some help again!! .. so i thought i had the amp thing all worked out but i dont, with my planet audio 1500D i could run my HU -5 bass mid +4 treble +5 with no loudness on and my SLA -1 and my system would sound good and hit hard to like 40 out of 45 on the volume . now that i have the PPI 2000 in i have to run it like this ..... HU bass -5 mid -3 treble- 0 with the loudness on high and the SLA on +4 for it to even hit good and like 35 for the volume. and when it is set like this it sounds like SHIT its just all destortion... and have tryed to set the stuff all the possible ways i can think.. and still will sound like shit. if i try to run it like i did on my planet audio my doors and tweeter sound good but i have like no BASS. ok and now the amp... level is like 3/4 the way up bass boost +12db have not yet did the lpf or subsonic cuz i can not even get the level to match my HU. the level goes from 5v to 0.2v the LPF goes from 40hz to 220HZ and the subsonic goes 10HZ to 50 HZ . this is most likely a stupid question but can i re set the level to match my HU? or is this some other problem like RCA or something like that? Did he even comment on the fact that your settings are whats causing all the distortion? If your friend owns a shop he should own an o scope, he should know how to tune an amp especially if he is a dealer and honestly your wiring should have never looked like that to begin with if he has his own shop. What kind of HU do you have?
