bassface
I am currently making my ports for my box, and I have no choice but to make 2 separate ports. The specs call for 110 square inches of port 22.5" long. Now if i make 2 55 square inch ports will they still be 22.5" long? I thought it wouldnt matter because they added up to the same area but someone said i would need to recalculate the lengths. Can anyone shed some light on this for me. bassface
Ok they are saying if i use 2 ports instead of one port the length of the ports will be 2 times as long as a single port? Thats hard for me to believe but is this the case? That would be like 2 45" long ports wtf?
bkolfo4
Depends - If you are talking about a 60 sqin port vs. 2 30 sqin ports, no they are not double the length. If you are talking about a 60 sqin port vs. 2 60 sqin ports, yes they are double the length. You really have to just calculate length based on 1 or two ports if there is some different ratio between the sizes.
