2004 ford explorer glass problem

i have a 2004 ford explorer

and i have a problem tailgate glass and noise

my 2 subs has broke the glass and

also broke the two bolts that hold the glass now for the second time

that glass cost $2000us to replace each time

does any-body have i system in a ford explorer ?

and do you have this problem ?

where is the best to place the port ?

I put rubber surround around the entire outside of the glass (where it meets the body of the car) and those lift supports break, that's normal, there cheap parts and they take a beating. Back to the glass, I'm only running about 1000wrms so that could be why I've never really run into any problems with it.

The rubber surround cut out all rattle from it though.

Sorry for the double post but I'm on mobile, subs up port back work out great in my truck atleast and my port is only about 7 inches from the liftgate

Got an 03 never had a problem with the glass, but those hinges for the glass I've broke. The orignal hinges were cast, new ones I got from the dealership are solid. Haven't had a problem since.

The hinges on the 02-05 suck ass. You have to put laminated glass through a LOT of stress before it breaks though so I'm wondering how you broke yours? Did it crack or what?

Yeah they do suck, there was a recall for them back in 09, dealership I went to said the recall had already been done on mine lol, I had it since 04 lmao. They about shit when I showed back up and gave them the cast hinges.

and the glass felt off to the gound and broke , now two times
