JR2011bu Posted June 5, 2012 Report Posted June 5, 2012 So i have a quick question, i have a kinetik hc1800 in trunk wired up to stock batt up front. Now what im getting at, is what is the proper way of charging battery in trunk? I am gonna disconnect my stock batt from agm(batt in trunk) as my charger has different settings for each. Until i can get another kinetik or just swap both batts out for some xs batts. Now when charging batt, should i unplug my amp from it? Or just leave plugged in? Will it harm my amps if i charge batt while the amps are still connected, or will they be fine? Just wanna be on the safe side, and it never hurts to ask when you are in need of some answers. SnowDrifter Posted June 5, 2012 Report Posted June 5, 2012 Get rid of the stock battery. It will put a slow drain on the kinetik. As for charging it: Just put it on an AGM compatible charger with the car and accessories off.
