new amp help

okay so after realizing my power acoustik amp thats supposed to be 1200w rms is only doing about 600 because of the 2 little 30 amp fuses in the back i decided to to do a little bit of research and found this amp,a hifonics brutus brz1700.1d, its supposed to be pushing 1700 watts at 1ohm and 1200 watts at 2ohm i figure i can wire my subs to do a 2ohm setup and have that amp instead,it is 2006 cea compliant which means it is pushing the correct wattage listed right?i want more power and figure this is the amp to go for the price considering im a teenager with a part time job,and cant afford any of the big name brands.so if anyone could steer me in the right direction,IS THIS A GOOD AMP FOR THE PRICE?or do i need to find a different one.i have 2 rockford fosgate older style silver t1s 600watts rms a piece that need to be pushed.thanks any info is appreciated,Josh

A good amp for the price, yes. Wire your subs to 2 ohms and they'll each be seeing around 500-600 watts.

It's an amp that I started off with and an amp that I continue to use because I really like it. And it was cheap lol. I was a broke ass at one point too, but I like the output I get from the Hifonics amps, therefore I'm not really in a rush to upgrade to a "big money' amp lol.

Just my opinion on them.

ya im just trying to save money at the same time because i see a motor rebuild in my future with my oil burner,and also i get griped out anytime i spend money on sound stuff because my parents say i put to much money in it.thanks for the input.
