RAM5493 Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 Hello Everyone, I would just like some input from people that actually know about the subject. I am trying to set up some car audio equipment that I have sitting in my house. I know that it won't sound as loud because its in an open room and not an enclosed car. I know the bass is going to fall off a lot and all that but i have this equipment sitting out so why not put it to use. I am trying to power a Hifonics BRZ1700 and a zeus amp for the highs.... Basically have some 6.5 rockford components and a SA-15 in a #.5 Cube box tuned to 28hz i believe. I have a Kinetik 2400 and I am aware that i can power everything up in my room with the battery but if I buy a Kinetik 80 amp power supply to add it to the equipment would it be enough to keep up with the power demand or would I only be able to play at half power? Any input is welcome. Thank You

I understand where you're coming from but i have these amps and the kinetik battery just sitting there so i would like to put them to use plus i think it would save me money just buying a power supply rather than buying 2 amps that produce the same amount of power.
LZTYBRN Posted June 16, 2012 Report Posted June 16, 2012 I don't know much about those power supplies, but if they do put out 80 amps, then I'd half power is about right. But really, for the price of that power supply, you could get a couple decent home audio amps...

Can you give me some suggestions for an amp? would i need 2 different amps for the sub and the highs???
andale927 Posted June 17, 2012 Report Posted June 17, 2012 Buy a Behringer EP4000 for 300 off of Ebay. Does 2.5K RMS at 4 Ohms. Or buy a Ep2000 for 220. Does 1.3k at 4 ohms.

I have a box for the Sub now just going to build something for the mids and highs.
