SnowDrifter
I do the same thing you do. I put them on my iPod and set gains with that. Turn the eq off and make sure your iPod doesn't clip too Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

SnowDrifter
Treat your ipod as just another source. I'm not sure if it has a strong enough signal to drive the internals of the dd-1. Plug it into your deck, turn up the volume half way, turn up your iPod all the way, and test with tracks 1&2. If it clips, turn down the volume until it doesn't clip and there should be some sort of volume lock in the settings so you can't turn it up past that point. Then set everything else like normal Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

wellington
the ipod via 3.5mm is weak but if you use the ipod dock port with a cable to the head unit, it seems just as good as USB/CD/DVD Quote 2010 HHR LT - DNX 6160 - sony xec-700 - sony xm-4040 for door mids - XM-6020 for tweets in a-pillar - saz1500d v1 - VVME RD-12 1.75 f^3 32hz guru and president of the "cheap asses trying to beat up the block with bargain bin woofers" club
