4 gauge or 0?

Recommended Posts

0 gauge of course, less resistance = more power.

if lest resistance id go with 2 gauge it cancels out the resistance between 0 and 4

Dude please stop, you don't know what your talking about and your confusing the OP, you can listen and learn as well. OP, go with the biggest wire you can, bigger wire lower resistance= more power like everyone has said. Thats why when people do the big 3 in o gauge you hear their responses as less voltage drop, no dimming headlights, etc. Bigger in wire is always better. I would use the biggest you can, then go to a distribution block and then to the amp. Only use the block if your amp can't handle that wire size. You can probably get away with the stock battery but upgrading would obviously be better. For example if your amp handles 4 gauge and the wire you go with is 1/0 use these:

please don't even bother posting if you can't use proper grammar and mechanics that are simple elementary school tools.

and what you says makes 0 sense.

i said all that because i heard it from a professional which is why he chose the 2 gauge for the giveaway instead of the 0 gauge so im going off of what iv heard when u guys are going off what you probably think is best, BTW what the fuck does grammar have to do with this forum its about car audio so quite your bitching, and this topic is about wire gauge which is best not about who has good grammar and for pointing that out do you want a fucking cookie and if you do you can go back to school and the teacher can give you one and to me this is like texting so i will most likely use txt language so eat shit bashing

you just made a huge ass of your self, GREAT JOB. Whoever told you 2 over 0 is misinformed. Basic physics (fuck physics, common sense) will tell you 0awg>2awg>4awg.... if you're too dumb to get that, then get the fuck off the board, or shut the fuck up and learn some shit.

woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked

i got it from ed and im sorry used wrong word theres a void in between 0 and 4 so the 2 gauge is perfect he said for the big 3 and just because the wire is bigger doesn't mean it will have a better current flow, it goes by length of wire and how much and if u didnt notice you just made a huge ass of yourself as well and who are you to tell someone to get off a board and to STFU im hear sharing what iv learned and if you guys dont like it to fucking bad im sharing it and if u dont like it dont read it its that simple

Dude, Gotta_Love_Bass, you need to chill. OWN that you gave some bad advice. 1/0 gauge OFC, will carry more current with less resistance than 4 gauge OFC all day long in equal lengths. The problem with your post and why guys arent gonna,"shut the fuck up" is because you may mislead a NOOB. Please don't post what you DO NOT know. Don't post what you " heard from a guy". Furthermore, I HIGHLY doubt Ed told you about the 2 gauge, my bet is you misinterpreted.

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Yes, there is a point to use 0 ga. Yes, length of the run does matter, but 0ga will have less resistance that 2ga no matter what if they are the same length, plain and simple.
