4 gauge or 0?

2 skar VVX 12's on a 1500 watt amp. should i also keep stock alt/battery?

I have never done the big three and I use 4 gauge wire. Do you have a capacitor?

1500w is right on the upper edge of a stock batt setup.

Id suggest to just upgrade that battery and beef up your wiring. Wire gauge depends on how long you run it.

To get a real 1500w, 4awg run from front to back is too small.

2awg will work, but 0awg will give you head room up to 2000w

Just do 0. The price difference is cheap peace of mind if you ever upgarde anything else. Amd to much is better than not enough.

What kind of amp draw is your amplifier pulling? That will be a greater factor on what upgrades, other that the 0 gauge, you will need.

if you can afford to upgrade to bigger battery you should, if you can afford the 0 gauge do it, it'll be ran for when you decide to upgrade. I couldnt afford it, im running 4 gauge to stock battery, no light dimming issues really neither.

personally i would go with 0 gauge more room to grow but also agree with HHR

do the big three with 0 awg.

keep your stock alt.

upgrade the battery under the hood. (might i suggest a Kinetik HC1800?)

and look at the inputs on the amp and just use the gauge of wire it says can fit

(0awg is almost always preferred over 4awg)

Just run 0 ga and call it good. Im running 0ga to the trunk, HC1400 under the hood, no big 3 (yet) no 2nd batt, stock alt, BRZ1700 at 2 ohms and MRP-F300 at 4 ohms, voltage drops to 12.9 at full tilt while idling. Doing big 3 in a few weeks, hopefully it will stay a bit higher after that.
