MegaMan93 Posted June 25, 2012 Report Posted June 25, 2012 I have a db drive PD2000.1 and i have never had dual inputs on any of my amps. Everyone is saying to run two leads of power wire. can't i just run one lead to my other battery in the back and run 2 power wire from the battery in the back to the amp? In the instructions its shows running 2 ground wire leads from the ground on the battery straight to the ground on the amp. I thought u grounded the amp to the body of the car?? im confused. plz help. We don't have alot of neighbors so we can blast the stereo.

If I'm not mistaken the reason for grounding to the battery because that's the path of least resistance. Guest Posted June 25, 2012 Report Posted June 25, 2012 if you have a secondary battery in the trunk, just have a run of 0 gauge going from the front batt to back batt. then you can run the two lengths of 4 gauge to the amp. they show the amp being grounded to the battery because you should have the battery grounded to the frame, and all accessories/amplifiers grounded to the battery.
