The Teams are awesome subs and have been doing me very good. Once I get a good start on the Van I will start another build log.

  4. Maybe parting out the Avy's system here soon. Got plans to do something different outside of car audio.

  7. Do you have a manual? The unit itself isn't hard to use. Most of the time its the users fault because they fail to read all the steps or forget to make sure all crossovers are set properly.
  8. Who in here have tested their setup with and without fuses and what was the difference?

      _paralyzed_

The difference is you can start your car on fire without them. If you want a flaming car then I say leave the fuses out.

      Real96SS

Questions not for me but last I checked you can start your car on fire with fuses. I have seen multiple times where the fuses didn't blow when either a wire arced or an overcurrent condition happened and started a fire.

    4. White Lightning

      White Lightning

      most likely too high fuses.

I normally run under what I actually need so if the least little thing happens, blown fuse. I'd much rather replace fuses than burn up equipment or vehicle.

  9. Video footage of the windshield tapping out uploading. Posting in the build log here shortly

should be a max of 11k per amp on your setup if im not mistaken

      DC 9ks at 17.8 volts.

    4. Kyblack76

      Kyblack76

I think youll be ok Ken. If they where strapped, the voltage may be to high. Try it and see what happens

  12. 158.7 high wired at .7 dropped to .35 and what do you think happened?

  13. Ben Waage of Las Vegas is a scammer that ducks people like his name Mayweather when it comes time to produce the product he promised. Hopefully none of the SMD community has placed an order with him for an alternator bracket cause if you don't have it, then you wont get it

    1. OrionStang

      OrionStang

Make it a thread, and explain the situation. I, and others, have no clue who the fuck Ben Waage is.

    2. Real96SS

      Real96SS

Do we have a scammer section on here? Would be nice if we did but this guy is local to me in Vegas and my Team mate paid him $400 back in December for a bracket for his 07 Tahoe. As of like 3 months ago he stop replying to him. So my team mate hit me up since I was in Vegas and I told him I would help him out. Which I did by calling him out on FB where he admitted to owing money but then reported the post and had it removed.

      OrionStang

Post it in the buyer/seller feedback section.

  14. I have never dealt with Debit card fraud until 3 days ago. Some low life in Canada thought it would be a good idea to take all my money and then go eat Chinese and Mcdonalds. Still the bank has not refunded me anything. Wat to start the weekend with no access to money :(

    1. Tarball

      Tarball

did you report it within 48 hours (i think its a 48 hour threshold they use) ?

  15. I'm rising to 2.5ohms from .7 so the most I may be seeing is like 7k LoL. I'm sure I will see more of that power once I can wire to .35 Edit: Meant 2.5ohms
  16. You are correct and he just answered me back and said It is caused with class d amps and big subs, when the signal going to them is suddenly stopped the back EMF is being read by the meter.
  17. one sub per wire means only reading power to one sub if I'm not mistaken. Which wouldn't actually be showing the full output of the amp
  18. Its only one amp which is why I'm saying this can't be correct
  19. No photoshop believe me this is a real picture. I have no clue why it showed that number but it did and it did more than once. Even showed 30k at one point. Im waiting on an answer back from Tony now as to why its showing such a high number. Thats 2 runs cause I have 2 subs to each amp. Their not wired together inside the box.
  20. So my teammate let me use his AMM-1 to check the output power on my 9ks and this is what came up on the second burp. Remind you the amps arent strapped so this is from a single 9k. I thought it was funny to see this because its not even possible. So you guys can enjoy this one LoL
  21. Clamped one of 9k's today with the Vital Power HHAMD-1 at the USACi IFO.6498w clamped at [email protected]

Just remember you arn't even making what the HHAMD-1 told you you were...AC volts x AC amps = VA, not watts

  22. Im confused. Am I looking at a Skar sub or a Sundown sub?

      ToNasty

ya this is old news. to bad people can do that nowadays

  23. When I use the DD-1 I just use the closest ground I can find. Doesn't have to be the amps ground but it will still work the same
