cbianco
I found an amp, at a good price but it doesn't quite match up with my sub. Single sub DVC4 wired down to 2ohms, 500 watts rms. Mono amp 1000 watts rms @ 1ohm. If I run the mono amp @ 2ohms will it be ok? I assume that an impedance of 2ohms on this amp will give me 500 watts, is that correct? I know it's important to match amp's & woofer's impedance but will this mismatch cause any harm to my system (besides not getting the most out of the amp)? EDIT: The reason I ask is, the amp doesn't give a 2ohm or 4ohm rating ONLY a 1ohm rating. Chris
