DD 2512 Enclosure

Ok you can question the sub (not broken in, has been reconed ...etc) and you can question the box, I can work with metric dimensions easily post the dims and I will check it, you have issues with wiring, impedance matching.. etc. Finally you are not saying in which car you tested, what amp, electrical..etc.

So if everything above is as it should you can still try a box 2.75 cubic feet net tuned to 35Hz.

Ok ,so the sub was reconed, its not broken in yet , the box is my friends so now I cant write the dimensions , it was on carpower wanted 2/300 amp , sub is 2x2 ohm and it was wired at 4 ohm (amp 4 ohm - 500w rms) , car is Mitsubishi galant 2.4 sedan , with stock eletrical ...

Ok so DD boxes are tuned to about 40Hz so other enclosure will probably help, the sub needs to be broken in AND you should not aim the sub up, aim it front/ rear ALSO you can put more power on it than 500W, I would like to know the model of the amp as not all amps are created the same.

I wanted to put it in with magnet inside of the box but the cut out hole was too small for this type of basket on higher serries of DD subs...so I had to put it in inverted and the surround was still touching the box....and his DD 512 sounds really awesome in this box...and it goes low..but 2512 in that box sounded good only on 40-55 hz range ...so definitely the DD 512 was better in that box and it went lower ...and yep, the amp is not enough for 2512 but we have only this ...and how should I broke it in ? I have not enough power for it and my friends 512 is on 500wrms daily for about 1 year and its still not broken in yet...its hard to broke in DD s ...they are very stiff

I would try a box 2.75 cubic feet net tuned to 35Hz 50 square inches of port AND change the amp for a respectable brand 1K@1 ohm amp with proper electrical. Aim the sub to the front or back and play it rather hard for 2-3 weeks.

2.75 cubic feet with port or its without port ? and what souhld be the lenght of port ?? I want subwoofer and port on the same side , not like the original DD boxes...so I think there will be an L port

Thanks much for this box plan ! and I have 1 question , what does it mean 13 1/2 ?? is it 13.5" ?

That's right, also the port is 3 1/2" or 3.5 inches.
