When To Run Negative Wires.

Recommended Posts

Ok i got simple question, at least i hope so..... When is it recomned to run negative wires from the front batterys to the back batterys? Im have a yellow top for the front that i did not put in yet, as well as two kinetik HC800's for the back. I already have one 1/0 run of posotive and plan on doing a second. Should I run two runs of 1/0 black for the negative as well, or will the chasis still be the best ground. Thanks

O and by the way i plan on about 6k-7k rms.

I would suggest running the 2 ground back up to the front battery just to cover your bases. I only ran a 1/0 un for +, and just screwed the ground to the chassis. I honestly dont see any problem in not running the grounds baack the front battery, but if you have the wire, do it.

My System:

Pioneer AVH-P3200BT

4-Dayton 7 inch reference series (front doors)

8-Onkyo 3/4 inch tweeters (dash)

1-Sundown Audio 100.4D (mids/highs)

2-18" BTL's (for now)

Crescendo 3kwp (for sale)

Complete rebuild coming soon...

Is that sarcasm?

Sounded like it...anyway i dont have the wire and dont really have the extra $$$ for 40 ft of kicker 1/0. So i geuss ill just leave it to the frame.
