One of my friends mentioned to me the way I have my amp is bad. i have mounted on my box. he said it needs space between the amp and the box because it will overheat. I told him after a day of driving around and listening to it that it wasnt hot but he said it was still bad. So what do yall think.

imo it doesnt hurt the amp to be in the box, besides the vibrations of course.

amps are made to sit flat. i wouldnt mount it on the box if your pushing some major SPL do to vibration. do what you want. my rockford fosgate t30001bd will never be mounted anything but flat.
