thats your best option. 4 ohms is wack unless it puts out a ton of power.

There was one thread where a kid was looking for an amp that did a ridiculous amount of power at 4ohms because he wanted efficiency lol, I just thought it was funny

They are IDMAX 10s rated for 1000rms, but I'm not going to run more then 700-750 to each of them.

Then they aren't going to like running with a 4ohm load lol, If that's the case then I would really recommend the Sundown SAZ-1500D amp. It's rated at 1500wrms @ 1ohm but it's been clamped at around 1800wrms. This would be great if you only want 700-750wrms to each

I was never going to be running at a 4 ohm load. 1 ohm load has been my plan, but I thought of the idea that I posted about, and wanted to if it would work out for me.

The price it costs to get 1000-1500 at 4 ohm is expensive. The only way I would do that is if I got a JL or something at a good price.

why wouldnt they "like" it? they'll work fine. they just wont have much power thrown to them.

get an amp that does 1500w or whatever, at 1 ohm, and you'll be good to go

it won't be bad for short term like you were talking about, you could always test to see that if the amp is stable at 1ohm until you can get something better
