It's been a LONG time since I have been in that bodystyle truck though, so I could just have a bad memory. She had an 8" Fosgate in a sealed box behind each seat. I don't remember there being a WHOLE lot of depth behind those seats. Get that measuring tape out and check your dimensions and we will give suggestions after we know what you have to work with. Sorry I missed the C10 comment, I wouldn't have asked which truck you had, if I would have seen that in your description, so sorry for that. Can we get pics of the truck, along with interior pics? I'm thinking a badass box could be built for some Sundown 8s and make you re-think your opinion of what 8s can sound like. If the room is available, 10s would give a little more cone area and sound great as well. If the room is available, 10s would give a little more cone area and sound great as well. im thinkin of runnin 2 boss audio shallow mounts n a 2 cubic for box tuned to around 32 but the length of the box can be 55...the height 15...the top depth 4....and the bottom depth 8 if that helps at all ill have pics on here to the weather around where i live has been pretty shitty so i couldnt get my camera out but they be up as soon as the weather clears a lil

When one of the guys posted in this thread and told me there was room I was not thinking there was much more than you told me. Do you have a solid bench seat in that truck? I don't think you'll be able to get a lot of airspace. The dimensions you gave only equals out to 1.89 BEFORE displacements. The subs won't take much space and I think you'd be better off doing aero ports in a wedge box. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

CleanSierra Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 It all depends on how long you have the ports and the port area. Aeros will give you the same thing as a regular port, but will take up the least internal volume from the box. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Jessica Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 Maybe an external slot port ran under the seat? It wouldn't eat up air space but i don't know how good external slot port works. If it does work how much space is under the front seat? I think you would have to do two separate chambers and ports if there is a transmission tunnel. Might get really tricky to build that design. Me over thinking again. Of course you could put the aero's external but same problem unless you run the slot port up but that might sound bad having a port right in your ear. I'd go with a 4". Let me check the numbers again to see what would work. I just hecked and the tuning could be done, but port area would be low for it. A 6" won't work because you don't have enough volume in the box. A 4" aero won't be idea for you, but would maybe work. Sealed may be the way to go to be honest.
