cant tell if those fuses say 10 or 40. wiki page on fuses says red is 10 amps and orange is 40. but those look red to me.

either way, you have a 300w amp, or a 1200w amp. no way in hell you're gonna be able to power a 3000w sub well with that little amp.

edit: if you're gonna upgrade power in the future, you're gonna pretty much have to get a new alt and a couple batteries and lots of 0 gauge. a good $800 right there. not to mention the liike $500 for the amp. guesstimates, but they're realistic

Yeah thats why im saying if he is going to upgrade to 2500rms really soon, then go for that type of sub. But if not to me it makes no sense with that amp.

define soon though...some of us cant afford to buy things often. I know if/when i get an Xcon or Zcon, ill be running i off my BRZ until i can afford a better amp.

woman..cant live with em...cant shoot em...guess were all fucked

You might be a Redneck if you use your leftover gutters for a speaker box port...

No im just like you i cant afford to change amps often. All of my amps were bang for buck like my hifonics, audiopipe, and audioque.

Your brz is cool as long as you are powering the sub correctly and maximizing it with your power and box.

The op is the one i hope doesnt think he has a 2500 rms amp.

i know you werent saying anyting about the BRZ. My point was (originally) that you dont have to have enough power necessarily, no, you wont get ALL you can out of a woofer, but somtimes part of a sub is better than everything a different sub may have to offer. Personally, its always better to overpower in my opinion, since you can always turn it down. If i get a Zcon, ill run it off my BRZ till i can afford a bigger amp...

You dont have anywhere near 2500w. Look a GCON from ssa if you like the way their stuff looks...or even a 2 DCONs since witht the fuses you are not near that rating. Hell Im doing 3 DCONs or 3 Sundown E15's on a BC2K...theres nothing wrong with not having a big high dollar sub.

]A properly built box is what really counts.

Also...you probably blew the MOFOs cus you were clipping the hell outta that amplifier trying to get it anywhere near 2500watts.

Somthing like the sa 15 or kicker cvx with a custom box would maximize that 1000rms he has.

Now if he gets 2500rms or more then you step up. These subs i mentioned have good resale value as well.

I would say go with the Sundown SA 15.....

IMHO i'm not a fan of kicker...but even if both subs sounded exactlly the same hit just as hard and had identical specs I would recomend the Sundown purely for the fact you can RE-cone it.

Than if you go to sell or it blows again...for less than half a new sub you can rebuild it. Hell...if you decide you would rather have a 12" you could swap baskets a go there.

Also food for thought if you ever go to upgrade and sell. I had a guy drive over 3hours each way to buy my SA-12 and he paid close to what I did. Their resale value...at least here is awesome. I had 3 calls the first day it was on craigslist.
