Got a 300 amp alternator, a sh#t load of 0/1 guage wire, and I will be buying 5 D1600 14v xs power batteries. Is there anything eles you guys can tell me I need? Oh by the way they are going to push 2 Aa mayhems 18s in a wall 12cf and tuned at 39. All is in a 06 Dodge Magnum.
andale927 Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 That sounds about right for electrical. I am running 1 3500d and I have a 270a alt and d3400 up fron and d3100 in the back. Voltage drops from 14.8 to 14.1 at full tilt.
andale927 Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Actually you might need more battery. You will draw about 760 amps. 300a alt (DC is 280a hot for the 300 amp alt) D1600s are 50AH each. So 280 + 250 = 530AH - 60 (for vehicle usage) 470AH reserve. I would get 5 more D1600s
