b-dubs89 Posted July 18, 2012 Report Posted July 18, 2012 recently got a tpi440 and i have a few questions about do's and don'ts as far as setting amp gains and checking out amp out puts . first question is : are test tones from a cd acceptable for setting amp gains and checking amp output or analyzing preamp level signals ? 2nd when setting gains , i would hook the scope to the amp output with no speaker connected ? 3rd is there any chance that an amp can be damaged by producing output with no load connected ?
