Joe X
Joe, Quick question if I was to change the width from 51 to 48.5 and change depth from 22 to 22.625 and the volume is almost identical would the port need to change in depth? Yes everything would change slightly, to preserve 35Hz the port would need to turn a bit sideways and a bit thinner, you would loose 0.3 cubic feet: Enclosure Specifications: Fb = 34.75 Hz Vb = 8 ft^3 External Height = 20 in External Width = 49.5 in External Depth = 22.625 in Port Width = 7 3/8 in Cut Sheet List: * All Dimensions in Inches. * Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts. External Enclosure Parts: 2 x Front & Back (3 parts) = 49 1/2 x 20 Left & Right Sides = 20 3/8 x 18 1/2 Top & Bottom = 49 1/2 x 20 3/8 Shared Port Internal Assembly Parts: 2 x Front to Back = 16 11/16 x 18 1/2 Edited July 30, 2012 by Joe X
hapitec
I did some modifications and I will be able to get 49.5 width and I also can make the box deeper if that would help.

With 49.5W and the slightly narrower port you get back your original net volume of 4 cubes per sub and about 35Hz tuning.
