Krayzie
Question. Why is that box so big? You can pretty much fit 4 12"s in that space. If you can tell me how I can fit 4 12s in a width of 39" I would be more than happy to do so. My reasoning for this is mainly to have both the subs and the port forward facing instead of unloading a huge portion of its energy into rattling my trunk. CaPRiCEx383
I'm saying in the airspace, 6.85ft is alot. I would do 4ft tops, depending on the power you have. More like 2.4-3.2 net. Just a suggestion.. Krayzie
Will be roughly 5kw. EDIT: I mean, I have nothing against going smaller on the enclosure if needed and may even switch the design back to one I had with a couple DD 9512s or might even try to push my carpentry limits and go for a couple 15s with an angled front to allow the subs to fit. Considering a couple 12s have more cone area than 4 8's that might be my route (I'm currently running 2 Fi BL 12s). I'm still in the early stages of planning the rebuild I guess. I still need more welding cable, batteries, and sound deadener before I can go after the new subs/enclosure, but there is no harm in planning everything out before I go and drop yet ANOTHER 3 grand. I'm pretty solid on my requirement of everything being sealed off from the trunk though and I would really prefer not to cut up the panel below the rear windshield to have upward facing port(s). I'm still a newbie in my eyes and have a lot left to learn. Edited July 20, 2012 by Krayzie
