Cashdollar2009
Crunching numbers in the Torres calculator, and running two 9" diameter ports has yielded me much more desirable numbers than using 6"s, 8"s, or 10"s. Does anyone know where I may be able to acquire a 9" cylinder of any sort. I've been looking into Sonotubes and PVC, but cannot find a 9" Sonotube or anything of the like. And everything PVC is around $20-$25 per foot... Basically need any 9" cylindrical tube to work with. On 6/30/2011 at 1:11 AM, 'Ray' said: Acoustical energy is free. Electrical energy is not. AB18VFL
good luck to you sir. you'll probably only find 8" or 10" inch tubes, whether its sonotube or pvc. I know a guy that could make you flared 8"s for a great price. SUBSCRIBE AT YOUTUBE! 18abVFL < CLICK!! 2005 Subaru Impreza My build log. Cashdollar2009
If he could make me 9" flared tubes for a great price, that would work. With 3-8"s and 2-10"s I get too much port area, and too high of tuning. Two 9"s give me the exact tuning, net volume, and port area that I am trying to achieve... :/ On 6/30/2011 at 1:11 AM, 'Ray' said: Acoustical energy is free. Electrical energy is not. AB18VFL
he's in the same boat as you, he cant find 9"s at all. Have you looked into 12" or 14" to see if that would work for you? because he can make those too. SUBSCRIBE AT YOUTUBE! 18abVFL < CLICK!! 2005 Subaru Impreza My build log. Cashdollar2009
Lol, actually either two 9"s or a single 13" would work perfect. P.S. Those flares look good, just need more diameter! AB18VFL
you'll never find a 13 either. you're at the point of where you say to yourself...
