Omega5002
Maybe half gain is still too much gain for it. Quiet
what's your voltage at the terminals on the amp at while volume up? Edited July 26, 2012 by srp365 Quote 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
MIKE-2U
Check the impedance of each channel. Bad ground? Voltage drop? Gain set properly? Jordan Guess
don't have access to vehicle atm D=, what # voltage is bad at terminals? and on my rear channels I had to bridge the two speakers because channel 4's + terminal stopped working but the ground still let me bridge 3/4. but with both wiring configs, it would still get super hot. MIKE-2U
See what impedance the bridged channels are at. So channel 1 & 2 dont work? That could be it Quote 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee LaredoPioneer AVH- 3200DVD2/0 Flex-A-Prene Welding Cable (2) Fully Loaded Fi Sp4's dual 1-------> My YouTube Channel <------- Needs more power those woofers will laugh at that turd

Quiet
If you were dropping to less than 12-13v at idle I'd look at your wiring. Running other amps along with it? EDIT: and does it go into protect? Edited July 26, 2012 by srp365 Quote 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
Guest
some amps specifically only can be bridged with a certain set of terminals. like if you have + - + -, you can only use the first + and last - to bridge to a speaker. i dont know if thats the problem, but im just saying. bad voltage (to me) would be anything dipping under mid 12's. you could be clipping, which can cause the amp getting hot. it happens all the time. is the amp getting proper ventilation? and where is the amp grounded to? it has to be bolted to something THICK like your strut tower or the frame itself underneath the car. all paint/rust sanded off so that the wire lug makes great contact with the bare metal. Jordan Guess
no on the protect, and I have a power acoustic BAMF 2000 (1200rms at 1 ohm) going to my DD 1508's. its probably not rated, but this post also gets me into some interesting topics. I have a clarion EQ and if i hook all 3 amps, the EQ wont tune the 4 chan. and so since I have my 4 chan hooked to my deck, and my sub amp hooked to my EQ, if i change settings on the 4 chan amp, it will mess with the sound of the subs.
