nice to see another member from rhode island, nice build man. looking forward to updates.

Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do that
I can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows

came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream.

oh lawd.

It's been a while since i posted any progress so here's the latest

I decided I wanted an in-dash EQ so here's what I did to mount it

first was some tape

IMG_0336_zps970ce678.jpg

then I used some pieces of wood to layout where I wanted the EQ to be positioned and used a little CA glue to hold it in place

IMG_0337_zps464d32ef.jpg

Then I layered some fiberglass mat over it

IMG_0339_zps57b8297d.jpg

I used the EQ as a mold for a tray that would hold it securely

IMG_0341_zps39cf434a.jpg

While that was drying I layered some more fiberglass mat on the inside of the panel

IMG_0342_zps3133720e.jpg

Using some more fiberglass mat I attached the tray to the front trim piece

IMG_0345_zps45cd3772.jpg

Those two piece of tape are covering the threads of two bolts that connect the front piece to the inside piece. This whole panel is held in without any modification to the factory dash

IMG_0351_zps6caee74d.jpg

I used some epoxy to hold the bolts from spinning

The front piece after some duraglass

Both piece's primed and the front is ready for paint

IMG_0352_zpsbc8f70e0.jpg

first some texture coating

and the finished product after paint

here it is installed

it was a fun little project and i'm happy with the results

Thanks for looking :)
