Multimeter reading very high when charging..

So i've had my spp2150's for close to 8 months now and decided to throw a charger on them. My only concern is when i had the charger connected to them my multimeter was reading like 16v and the charger was saying they were only 25% charged. I got worried and disconnected the charger and m.m read 12.8v. Is it normal that voltage would read that high when hooked to a charger, or is my charger bad??

This is the charger I have, and i was using the 6 amp setting.

Oh, looky here, another failure made by schumacher. Return that charger, go get yourself a battery tender plus.

so the charger sucks? I found a deal on it at autozone is why i bought it..i should've just went with an xs intelli charger like i had planned, but the price tag on this was a lot friendlier on the wallet..guess i'll be returning it.

I have had TERRIBLE luck with all Schumacher chargers, I think I went through 4 different models before I bought the Battery Tender Junior which works like a champ.

looks like walmart has that charger for pretty cheap..i think i'll check into it

Haha i knew what you meant from your first reply, looks like 60 bucks..a lot cheaper then some of the other chargers i was looking into
