Instead of using deadener, why couldnt one just place psheets of wood around the rear of the trunk and make angling pieces toward the cabin? Basically forming a 3/4 box on the inside of your trunk? Therefore all air would hit the wood and not lose pressure or loudness do to sound waves hitting the trunk and escaping thru the carpet lining the sides of the trunk?

My goal is to increase cabin pressure and not lose the sound waves that hit the trunk lid and sides of the trunk. Would doing this be considered making a bandpass enclosure?

Ok, well then what I'd basically be doing is lining the trunk wth wood do lessen flex and make it more solid
