replacing port in box?

is it possible to replace the port in my sub box, i used liquid nails to secure it. I dont think u can without cutting a new hole around it? can anyone confrim or or give me tips to remove it?. im curious because i used a pvc port (like a dumb ass) and it sounds horrible with my new sub.

cut around it with a razorblade and pull it off. Whats the worst that could happen?
