2 or 8 Ohms? I'm going active...

What's up guys? I do lots of reading, but wonder if I should rethink my mids/highs amp...

I know this amp is almost too big, but I had my reasons for buying it at the time.

Anyways, my T1000-4 will be running 2 sets of T1652-S - front stage of my ext cab truck.

Going active with 2 mids per channel and 2 tweets per channel. 2 ohms or 8 ohms?

Birthsheet is 205 x 4 @ 4ohms --- 359 x 4 @ 2ohms --- maybe 115ish? x 4 @ 8ohms

Seems like too little or too much. What do you think? Should I see if 8 ohms keeps up with the sub stage?

No back seat. Currently building a new box. subs up, ports up. 4 RF T1 12s. 9 ft3 net. 138 in2 @ 33hz. 3240 watts

Thanks a lot!

That's kind of what I was thinking. Less power, but hopefully cleaner.

Tweets are cross aimed & molded into the sail panels.

^ second on starting out with 8 ohms.

I would even try it on mids and highs.... but the tweeters for sure. My $$$ is on there being resistors in your passive x-overs that lower the wattage to the tweets anyway....

I never did run the passives, so I have no baseline @ 4 ohms.

But yeah I assumed the passives consumed a little power if not attenuated on purpose.

I also have a T400-2, but damn near need a couple T600-4s to run everything at 4 ohms.

I just hate to waste all that power of the T1000-4 and some of the drivers' potential...
