protectedvoid Posted August 26, 2012 Author Report Share Posted August 26, 2012 So, I ordered the resin, some 1.5 oz mat and a few other things from US Composites and started glassing the back of the sub box today. So, no real trouble, but I do have a couple of additional questions. First, how long should it take (on average) for the fiberglass to fully cure? Second, how may layers of 1.5 oz mat will I need to lay before I can safely remove the mold from the car, and finish reinforcing it outside of the vehicle? Third, will a heat gun on a low setting help the glass cure faster if the temp drops to the upper 60's? I mixed the resin according to the chart from US Composites. 1/8 oz per 16 oz of resin. Should I have added more hardener to the resin with the outside temp being in the upper 70's w/ 80% humidity? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
