Looking for a GOOD Dmm and clamp meter

clamp doesnt do DC readings.......... only ac........

If thats ok for ya,...... then, seems ok to me...

wait amps put out AC current. So what is an example of stuff I can and can't clamp...I'm electrically unsavy lol

Correct me if im wrong but amps produce ac amps, but take in dc amperage. You alternator puts out dc amperage and so does your battery. I am also looking for a clamp to use on my alternator. What it needs to say is true RMS and be able to read dc amps

hmm this listing says that it can read AC/DC up to 400amps

That is correct. The amp needs AC so the subs can move in and out. Not one way.

atleast at home depot I can return it I think I'll take advantage of the deal it's pretty good 130 bucks for a legit DMM and a nice Clamp
