Phawstir Posted August 16, 2012 Report Posted August 16, 2012 My amp (MTX TC3001, 300w @ 2ohm) has 4 outputs for sub wires (2 pairs of pos/neg). As far as I know, the only purpose for 2 sets of outputs on mono amps is to make wiring 2 subs to the amp easier. I am about to wire my single 15" Type R (Dual 4) to my amp at 2 ohms. Underneath the positive and negative labels for the terminals, and under the terminals themselves, is another label showing how to wire to 2 ohm, as seen in the pic below... Can I just wire to 2 ohms at one of the two pos/neg terminals (swear that is how I see most people do it) Or should i simply follow MTX's diagram on the amp... Thanks for helping this noob out! 2000 Jeep Cherokee 15" Alpine Type R box build coming soon!
