Jordan Guess Posted August 18, 2012 Author Report Posted August 18, 2012 do you think it will give me better performance all around as well? or just moves more air in general? i know i need to be more specific on what I want, but im aching for a hair trick on this build while still retaining good sound. Mr.BassMan Posted August 18, 2012 Report Posted August 18, 2012 4th orders usually give better response if properly made. if low, air moving bass is more your thing then a good ported box would work better. with lots of port and tuned low. if its a 15" woofer youre workin with,i'd go around either 3 or 4^3 tuned to like 31-33hz. TeamHT Posted August 18, 2012 Report Posted August 18, 2012 Then limit the cabin, add cone area and power, give it some port, and be done with it. Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
Jordan Guess Posted August 18, 2012 Author Report Posted August 18, 2012 i was gonna go with 5 cuft gross and end up around 4.5 cu ft net. is that to much? TC audio's website doesnt have my exact sub in general on there, but from what I see with there 15's is that they like 45.-5 cu ft...idk tho, if anybody has experience with TC boxes and could chime in, thatd be nice!
