I ended up deciding that I wanted the battery to stay in the rear of the car. Calculated airspace, and I should have enough to wall off the left side of the enclosure and drop it into its own compartment. Just started to glass in the walls for its compartment tonight. The car sat too close to the shop the other night... here's the result... My amp left a clean spot in the MDF dust... Got the baffle drilled out, and T-nuts pressed into place... Got the ports cut in the baffle... nevermind the lines and the drawn circles, they helped me line everything up... Also used a roundover bit... I think everything came out pretty nice. I also got the baffle glued and screwed in place. I got most of the rough sanding done tonight. I'm planning to fiberglass the inside and corners of the baffle tomorrow, and finish sanding the outside. Still trying to figure out the specifics of the battery box cover and wiring. Although, I think I have the amp rack all figured out. I lightly sanded box today, and laid some paint... coulda used a lot more sanding, but I have an idea that involves plexi and LEDs, so not too worried about that or filling in the screw holes... Here's some pics of it painted... Not too worried about the front of the box, as that will all be dropped down beneath body panels. I also still have to put a cover over the battery compartment, but I'm more worried about getting everything together for NSPL on May 11th.
