Twostrokeking
Earlier this morning I was driving my truck and my amps were working fine, everything sounded great. I went out a little bit ago and turned the truck on, the stereo came on but I had no noise. First thing I did was check the amps, both were off. I checked under the hood and the amp fuse was just fine. I am getting 12 volts at both amps, 12 volts at the remote wires. I replaced the fuse on the deck and in the fuse panel.. I wiggled the grounds and both are tight as they always have been.. What the hell is the problem?! I am freaking out! AMI CUSTOMS
Did you check at the amp with a DMM to make sure you are getting 12 volts from the battery and from the deck remote wire when the deck is on? Also does your deck have a sub on/off function? b-dubs89
thats odd that you only get eleven volt on the remote turn on . if it were me i would try a jumper wire from positive terminal on amp to remote and see if it turns on . i had a fuse blow once and it wasn't obvious to look at it and it still got 7 volt through it on the dmm , but not enough to run anything . dog24fret
Have you checked the voltage on the rcas sir. Haven't done that, but the lights on the amps arent coming on Yea no point in checking the rcas if the amps aren't comming on at all. Didn't catch that part sorry. Is it posiable the ground went bad. The ends or wire cause this is weird for mutiple failure it has to be common for all amps. Like the rest said. If you can easily run a temp ground to see if that makes a diff that's the only thing I can think of.
