I just don't know if I have the kind of experience to do a recone, I don't wanna fuck it up and be out of a sub and waste money on a recone kit. I wouldn't recommend you doing it then lol.... It comes with a price though, which I think is worth it (if you care about looks). I on the other hand, built, test, and blow them (unless they are a tank or if i like them enough), i care less about looks. I'm thinkin a dual 1 12, thinking about the mayhem 12's, I'm really likin em....but I also wanna know some other subs that could take a 2500 watt load.
