How loud have you got off a single 12?

Recommended Posts

Thinking of sticking with a single 12 in my car, how loud have others gotten off of a single 12? What brand sub and what size amp were you using? Plan on upgrading my sub and amp, I'd say something in the 2500-3500 watt range for shits and giggles.....ohh and bass; shits, giggles, and bass.

What the f**k is an appropriate signature supposed to look like?

Getting loud on a single 12" in your car isn't easy. I'm assuming you're running the Mustang that's in your profile pic? I wouldn't expect monster numbers from a single 12" I'm the trunk.

Dc neo 12 off a 9k ported through the trunk.

Haha

1998 Pontiac grand prix gtp supercharged2 12" Obsidain Audio V.1 on a 2011 zx1500.1 at 2 ohms. 20ft of Knuconceptz CCA 0 Guage. 2nd Battery is a Shurken BT-120. Box is 3.5cu tuned at 31.8hz sealed off from the trunk. 14sqft of Dynamat on the Rear deck top & bottom. Soon to be more for doors/roof. Gets low & loud

Did a 140.5 Sealed at Battle of the boom in June 2013 dropping to 12.7v (need a alt mines going bad)

on my single 12 I was able to hit 137.52 @ 45hz on stock electrical

we clamped it at 400wmrs because we had been beating on the amp with stock electrical trying to figure out where my car peaks

I'm hoping to break 140, it's firing forward and trunk isn't sealed off just yet :(

The highest I was able to get in my Ford Focus trunk car sealed on the dash was a 149.8 using a Powerbass 5k powering a Sundown 12" Zv3.

I've ran an old school kove in a bandpass @ 600wrms ish back in the day. Was very accurate but SPL wise only saw numbers in the 20s. I'm sure with today's 12s capable of handling 2500-3500wrms you should have no problems reaching a nice number.
