Alright..

I got the SS set to 28hz and low pass to 80hz. Do I even need a LPF on the deck? The settings are 85hz, 120hz, 160hz or off. It may be off or "through".

What actually is important is to hi-pass the front stage to about the same frequency you lo-passed the sub, you can always try for lower frequencies.

Got the high pass set to 100hz because that's the lowest it will go on the Kenwood KDC-X596. I'll probably switch the low pass on the amp to 100hz to match the high pass on the deck. Still have the infrasonic set to 28hz. Then I set the low pass on the deck to 120hz. It sounds good as it is. I just want to make sure it's a safe setup for my subs.

So basically..

Box tuned to 33hz

Infrasonic to 28hz

Low pass on the amp to 80hz (for now.. may switch to 100hz)

Low pass on the deck to 120hz

High pass set to 100hz

I don't have an amp for my mids and highs yet because I still have the factory speakers. I imagine when I get new mids and highs with an amp I'll have a little more flexibility. And if it helps, I listen mainly to Rock and Metal. So I'm basically looking for hard punch rather than rattling lows.. except for when the drummer uses an 808 bass pad for bass explosions. So maybe I'm trying to compromise between punch and rattle.

He who stands on toilet is high on pot.
