I am wondering if anyone has any experiences with with AB HD-2500 inparticular. Do these actually do 1250 rms? I am looking to run 2 12" AB XFL's and I was given 2 practically new HD-2500's and I am wondering if these amps can push the subs well or not. Thanks in advance.

Also, how much power do these XFL's like daily? I bought these for my Blazer that I drive to and from work everyday. These are the older style XFL dual 2's... Beefy little things. I'm just not very familiar with American Bass although I know their VFL line is legit.

you had a decent amount of posts in all your other threads. and now you're saying that you came to the wrong forum? ...what?

it'll maybe do around 1200w yeah. 90 amps of fusing so dont expect anything more than that.

I didn't really mean anything by it kranny, it was just an attempt to get someone to respond without me spamming up my own thread day after day ;)

I'm thinking, if I can get maybe 1100w per sub within the right enclosure it might be pretty decent sounding. My main concern of course is that I didnt know if these amps were extremely over-rated and only do closer to 700-800w. Then I would def need something else to push the subs.

I have 2 of the HD-2500 so if I can get near the rated power then I should be good with 1 amp per sub.

Most of us at te shop have ran xfl's on 2k each. They take it just fine in the right box. We have also ran 4k daily on one. Ask iH8PunkRok. A very well built sub.

yeah, I might upgrade my amp(s) later on but then again this is my a to b truck. I'm going to wait and see how this setup sounds. 1100-1200w per sub in the right box should move some air im guessing.
